Australia captain Darren Lockyer touches down against Great Britain
Australia captain Darren Lockyer said his side had always believed they would beat Great Britain to win the inaugural Tri-Nations series at Elland Road.

Lockyer was named man of the match after starring in the Kangaroos' 44-4 romp on his return from a rib injury.

"We knew Great Britain were confident but so were we. We've done it before and we've done it again," he said.

"It was great opening 40 minutes by our guys and the game had gone for Great Britain by half-time."
