Featherstone have parted company with coach Andy Kelly following their failure to reach the National League One play-offs.
Kelly's contract had been due to expire in October but he has decided to leave immediately after not being offered a deal for 2004.
"The board has closely monitored performance and after a promising start things have tailed off badly, winning just two out of our last 10 games," said Rover chairman Glyn Robinson.
"We have not won away from home and have failed to reach the play-offs for the first time in six years.
"We accept we don't have the budgets of some our competitors but seventh position in the league was very disappointing."
