Molloy signs new deal
Steve Molloy (centre) in action for Oldham
Molloy proved his worth as a manager last season
Former Great Britain forward Steve Molloy has signed a new one-year deal to continue as player-coach at Northern Ford Premiership side Oldham next season.

The 33-year-old took charge of the Roughyeds after former boss John Harbin left to join football neighbours Oldham Athletic last July.

Under Molloy's charge, Oldham won seven and drew two of their last 14 games, clinching a place in next season's National League One and reaching the last four of the play-offs.

Club chairman Chris Hamilton said: "In a demanding period, when the pressure was on him to get us into the top-nine play-offs, Steve showed that he has a big future in coaching."
