Broncos eye NRL champs
London's Mat Toshack will hope to play against the NRL
Super League side London want to tackle the top team in Australia in a Hong Kong friendly.
The Broncos are heading down under for a pre-season camp at the same time as the NRL champions fly the other way for the World Club Challenge. And Tony Rea's side have suggested meeting halfway for a game. "London has proposed a match in Hong Kong as a stop-over while the two teams are in transit," said NRL chief executive David Gallop. "It would provide a warm-up game for the Australian team which would normally go into the World Club Challenge game fresh from the off-season. "The clubs said they were happy to pursue the concept further." A date for the match has not been finalised, but it is likely to be early February 2003.
