Russians miss out
Workington were just too good for Locomotiv
Workington were just too good for Locomotiv
Locomotiv Moscow and Kazan Arrows ended up winless after losing the final matches of the Damart Russian Tour.

Locomotiv, who were narrowly edged out by Dewsbury, were beaten 54-6 by Workington at Derwent Park.

The Northern Ford Premiership outfit ran in 10 tries, with Carl Sice helping himself to a hat-trick and Ricky Wright crossing twice.

The visitors refused to throw in the towel and scored a deserved try through Serguei Dubrynin midway through the second half.

Sin-binned for fighting

Russian champions Kazan followed up their loss to Bradford with a 40-10 defeat at the hands of Hull KR.

Scrum-half Joe Chambers touched down twice in a fiery encounter, which erupted into a brawl in the 61st minute.

Chambers and Maksin Romanov were both sin-binned for fighting while Arrows' Sergei Lokhanov was later sent off.

Mark Blanchard, Dave Wilson, Mike Hall, Chris Stephenson, Paul Pickering and Craig Farell scored the Robins' other tries.

Kazan responded with tries of their own from Rinat Shamsutdinov and Romanov.

Both Russian sides are expected to be invited to participate in the Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Challenge Cup next season.
