Anasta stays with Bulldogs
Braith Anasta is tackled by Trent Barrett
Anasta's uncle is chairman of the Rabbitohs
Australian international Braith Anasta has signed a two-year contract extension with the Canterbury Bulldogs that will tie him to the club until the end of 2005.

The 20-year-old loose forward or stand-off had been linked with a move to his old club South Sydney Rabbitohs following their reinstatement to the NRL.

"People expect me to go back and want me to go back, but you've got to do what's best - and at this point in time what's best for me is to stay here," said Anasta.

Bulldogs coach Steve Foulkes was delighted Anasta had decided to commit his future to the club.

"He's only going to get better and the club has done a great job to keep him here for the next four years," said Foulkes.
