McDonald moves to Leeds
Wayne McDonald
McDonald is the tallest player in Super League
Leeds Rhinos have signed Scotland forward Wayne McDonald from St Helens.

McDonald, 26, is the fifth player the Rhinos have acquired in readiness for next season.

Formerly at Hull and Wakefield, he is Super League's tallest player at 6ft 7in.

Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington said: "Wayne is a very determined player who has a lot of experience.

"He has won promotion with Wakefield, reached the Challenge Cup semi-final with Hull and then been part of St Helens' impressive squad this season."

McDonald made just eight starts for the world club champions and another 11 appearances from the bench.

He joins fellow Headingley newcomers Ben Walker, Adrian Vowles, Matt Adamson and Willie Poching.
