39 minutes: Briers extends Wales' lead further when his drop-kick just creeps over the bar. Wales 23-10 England
34 minutes: Try Jason Lee finishes off a superb sweeping Wales try, instigated from their own half, in the left corner. Wales 22-10 England. Converted by Briers.
32 minutes: The Super League's top scorer Kris Radlinski is hauled down just a metre from the line, but England cannot make their position count.
26 minutes: Try A clever Paul Sculthorpe dummy helps the St Helens man to run in England second try. Wales 16-10 England Farrell misses conversion.
23 minutes: Try Jamie Peacock finally gets England on the scoreboard when he coasts through the Welsh defence, sold on a dummy run, for the try. Wales 16-6 England. Andy Farrell successfully converts.
21 minutes: Paul Anderson batters his way through the Welsh defence, needing three defenders to bring him to ground.
18 minutes: Paul Sculthorpe's knock-on almost sends Mark Lennon through, but Graham Wellens makes an important challenge to avert the danger for England.
14 minutes: Try A superb solo effort from Briers sends the already jubilant Wrexham crowd into raptures. Wales 16-0 England The Warrington man converts his own try.
11 minutes: Try Wales' persistent pressure pays dividends when Damien Gibson capitalises on another bad mistake by Chev Walker to jump on Briers' grubber kick for the score. Wales 10-0 England Briers misses conversion.
9 minutes: Leeds winger Chev Walker puts pressure back on England as he knocks on failing to pick up a low kick five metres from his own line.
3 minutes: A cheeky Briers grubber kick five metres from the England line is kicked out of the danger area by Kevin Sinfield, resulting in an England drop-out from under the posts.
2 minutes: Another Briers kick causes problems as Leon Pryce takes the ball right on his own try line.
1 minute: Lee Briers gets proceedings under way with a high up-and-under, but Keith Mason takes out an England player without the ball, resulting in a penalty to England.
