Foxes lose patience with Taylor

Taylor made his name after a successful spell as England under 21 manager
Bright Future: Taylor was plucked from obscurity by Glenn Hoddle to boss the England under 21s

After Taylor was controversially dismissed by England he had further success with Gillingham
On the up: He tasted success at Gillingham where he won promotion to Division One via the play-offs

Peter Taylor made a great start at Leicester
Peter perfect: Taylor was snapped up by Leicester and took the Foxes to the top of the Premiership

Leicester were in the top four until March when they faced Wycombe in the FA Cup and everything started to go wrong
Ups and downs: Taylor was named manager-of-the-month for September and Leicester were going well

Peter Taylor rose to the very top to lead England against Italy and made David Beckham his team captain
Magic moment: He was caretaker manager of the full England team a year ago, making Beckham captain

Ade Akinbiyi, who Taylor bought for a club record fee, was not a Filbert Street favourite
Money well spent?: Taylor had mixed fortunes in the transfer market and a spectacularly bad end of season

Leicester lost 10 of their last 11 games at the end of last year and the bad form continued at the start of this season
Out of time: The Foxes needed to start well this year, they didn't, and after 15 months Taylor is out of a job
