Keane's Ireland career
Roy Keane began his Ireland career in a 1-1 draw against Chile in 1991 while at Nottingham Forest
Keane helped the Republic to the 1994 World Cup finals with some excellent performances in the qualifiers
He was part of Ireland's famous 1-0 victory over Italy at USA 94 helping his side to the second round
Keane led Ireland through a difficult qualifying group to qualify for the 2002 World Cup in Japan/Korea
Keane was last seen in an Ireland shirt against Nigeria in a World Cup warm-up match on May 16th 2002
It was his notorious bust-up with Mick McCarthy that ended Keane's World Cup and international dreams
