Hansie Cronje: A career in pictures

As captain of his country, Cronje enjoyed great success, winning the Willis Cup and the Texaco trophy in 1998
Hanse Cronje discusses tactics during the 1999 World Cup. He captained South Africa a record 53 times.

His popularity began to slip as details of match-fixing Cronje began to emerge in April 2000
In October 2000 Cronje's fate was sealed as the ICC handed him a life ban from international cricket
