Ski Sunday gears up for Vancouver

Chemmy Alcott finished 11th in the 2006 Olympic downhill in Italy

Ski Sunday is back for the 2009/2010 season and as well as showcasing the best World Cup action the team are gearing up for the 2010 Winter Olympics.

It is presented by Graham Bell and Ed Leigh and mixes classic races with personal insights from Britain's medal hopes as Vancouver looms.

This Sunday the show features the Men's Downhill from Val Gardena in the Italian Dolomites and the team meet GB skier Chemmy Alcott.

Ski Sunday is shown on BBC2 on Sunday afternoons and this website.

During the series Bell will be on the ground, assessing the chances of the world's best ski racers, as well as getting up close and personal with some of the classic downhill runs from Val d'Isere to Kitzbuehel and Wengen.

And he will take on the Winter Olympics' newest sport - ski cross - at a race at Alpe d'Huez in France.

Leigh will be meeting our British hopefuls and sampling night-time ski jumping at the climax of the Four Hills tournament in Bischofshofen, Austria.

This week's show starts at 1405 GMT on BBC Two.
