|
Daniel Albrecht won the men's super-combined race at the World Ski Championships in Are, Sweden.
The 23-year-old Swiss finished ahead of Austrian defending champion Benjamin Raich and compatriot Marc Berthod.
Albrecht, who was seventh after the downhill section, won in a combined time of two minutes 28.99 seconds, after taming the slalom course.
American Bode Miller, who was fastest in the downhill leg, finished sixth while Britain's Noel Baxter was 25th.
Afterwards a jubilant Albrecht explained: "I can't believe it. It's going to take some time to believe it.
"I never thought I could catch Miller and Svindal. I was surprised how close I was to the top downhillers. I've been training a lot with (Marc) Berthod and now we're both on the podium. It's great."
