The Italian ski resort famed for its nightlife and sense of fun will host the freestyle skiing at the Games.

The village of Sauze d'Oulx, at an altitude of 1,509m in the interconnected Milky Way region, will stage the men's and women's moguls and aerials competitions.

Did you know? Sauze d'Oulx's first ski lift was built in 1936

The venue will consist of one steep mogul track and an aerials ramp, which both share a common finish area.

Up to 8,460 noisy fans will pack the stands to cheer on the competitors, backed by blaring music.

Sauze d'Oulx, set on a shelf in the Val di Susa with spectacular views to France, has been a favourite of the Turin aristocracy since the beginning of the 20th century.

The resort's reputation was tarnished by lager louts in the past but it has worked hard recently to shake off that image, though the nightlife remains lively.

With 22 lifts of its own and access to the 400km of the Milky Way, it is a paradise for intermediate skiers and boarders looking to notch up the miles.
