The venues are about two kilometres apart but their perimeters are just 200 metres apart at their closest point.

Pragelato, 80km from Turin, lies at an altitude of 1,518m and is near the ski resort of Sestriere.

For the ski jumping events, there will be a large hill (140m) for the K120 event and a normal hill (106m) for the K90.

There are also three training jumps available: K60, K30, K15.

Ski jumping is hugely popular in Europe and the venue will house up to 7,500 excited spectators.

The Olympic cross-country course at Pragelato Plan is located at an altitude between 1,530m and 1,620m.

It consists of two circuits - 'red' (6,200m) and 'yellow' (3,800m) - which have junctions to create runs of intermediate lengths.
