Rhona Martin's curlers will mount the defence of their gold medal in the mountain town of Pinerolo.

The second Olympic city, of 35,000 inhabitants, is 50km south east of Turin and is the first venue along the Val Chisone towards France.

The venue covers an area of about 6,000 square metres and includes four curling rinks to be used for both the Olympic and Paralympic tournaments.

After the Games, the stadium will be adapted to stage ice hockey, speed and figure skating and theatrical shows.
