Children must wear helmets when they ski to give them better protection but the amount of adults now using them too has increased dramatically over the last few years.
On average junior helmets cost about £35 and adults £45.
Hats are a must if a helmet is not worn.
With 25% of a person's body heat escaping through the head, a hat is a vital way to keep warm and comfortable.
