Okafor beat old team-mate Gordon into second place

Charlotte Bobcats star Emeka Okafor has been named NBA Rookie of the Year.
The 6ft 10in forward was one of only eight players to average double figures in scoring and rebounding this year.
He got 77 of 126 possible first-places votes, and said: "This is an award that every rookie strives to get, and it means a lot to me."
Chicago guard Ben Gordon, winner of the
Sixth Man Award as the league's top reserve, finished second in the voting with 443 points.
Okafor and Gordon were team-mates on 2004 NCAA champion Connecticut.
Orlando's Dwight Howard finished third in the voting with 161 points.
The second overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, Okafor led all rookies this season with averages of 15.1 points and 10.9 rebounds in 35.6 minutes.
