Konerko launches his two-run homer against Tim Wakefield

Boston Red Sox saw their reign as world champions end when Chicago White Sox won 5-3 for a triumphant 3-0 sweep in the American League Division Series.
It was the first post-season success for the White Sox since they won the World Series way back in 1917.
Paul Konerko hit a two-run homer as Chicago overcame two solo homers by Manny Ramirez and one by David Ortiz to win their eighth straight game.
Orlando Hernandez pitched three scoreless innings.
"They outplayed us and that's why they won," Boston manager Terry Francona said.
White Sox counterpart Ozzie Guillen said: "When you pitch well in playoff games and execute well, you should win, and that's what we did."
Los Angeles Angels moved into a 2-1 lead over New York Yankees, after winning the latest game 11-7.
They squandered a five-run lead before recording six runs over the final four innings.
Chone Figgins delivered the telling single in the sixth inning for the Angels, who had 19 hits.
Randy Johnson failed to shine on his playoff debut for the Yankees and he produced a dud, the shortest of his 15 post-season starts.
