Donovan McNabb threw for 356 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Philadelphia Eagles to a 30-13 win over Detroit.
In Sunday's only battle of unbeaten teams, Terrell Owens also caught six passes for 107 yards and a score for the Eagles, who went to 3-0 for the first time since 1993.
Thoroughly outplayed at home, the Lions only managed to cross the 50-yard line for the first time with 52 seconds left in the first half.
Detroit quarterback Joey Harrington completed 21-of-38 passes for 199 yards with two touchdowns, but he was guilty of some mistakes.
"It was my fault," said Harrington afterwards.
"It doesn't feel good to put my defense in that position."
In Kansas City, Kris Brown kicked a 50-yard field goal with two seconds left to give the Houston Texans a 24-21 victory over the Chiefs.
In a losing effort, running back Priest Holmes rushed for 134 yards to become Kansas' leading career rusher, breaking Christian Okoye's record of 4,897 yards in the third quarter.
Fred Taylor ran for a one-yard touchdown with nine seconds left as the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the Tennessee Titans 15-12 for their first win at The Coliseum.
In St. Louis, stand-in running back Aaron Stecker had his first career 100-yard day for the New Orleans Saints, who ended the Rams' 15-game regular-season winning streak at home.
In Indianapolis, Peyton Manning threw for 393 yards and
five first-half touchdowns as the Colts beat Green Bay 45-31.
Brett Favre threw for 358 yards and four TDs as the
Packers rallied from an 18-point half-time deficit to within
a touchdown.
But the thriller was swung with six minutes left by two defensive backs,
Jason David and Nick Harper.
The Packers were advancing upfield to set up a chance of a game-tying touchdown when David stripped Javon Walker after he caught Favre's pass just across midfield and Harper returned it to the Green Bay 36.
That set up Edgerrin James' one-yard touchdown run with 1:49
left to seal the win.
