MacLean quits coaching job
|
The Blue Jackets have the worst record in the NHL
|
Doug MacLean has resigned as coach of
the Columbus Blue Jackets, but will remain president and general manager of the NHL side.
MacLean fired coach Dave King on 7 January last year and took on the role in June.
But the Blue Jackets have the worst record in the NHL this season and
endured a 1-0 loss at home to the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday.
Assistant coach Gerard Gallant has been named interim coach of the side.
