Carter became a free agent by mistake

NBA champions San Antonio have signed free agent guard Anthony Carter from the Miami.
Spurs general manager RC Bulford said: "Anthony Carter is a proven NBA player who has experience as both a starter and a reserve.
"He is a good defensive player and will fit well into our system."
Carter has spent his four-year NBA career with the Heat.
A mistake by his agent's office caused him to miss the deadline to
exercise a $4.1m option on his contract with Miami, making him a free agent.
Last season Carter averaged 4.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 18.6 minutes in 49 games.
The Spurs also announced the signing of free-agent guard Devin Brown.

The Los Angeles Clippers have retained free agent swingman Corey Maggette, who had been offered a reported $42m six-year deal by Utah.
The 23-year-old is the second of their free agents that they have kept recently, having matched Miami's $82m six-year offer for star forward Elton Brand.
In four seasons, Maggette has averaged 11.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 273 games.
He was a 1999 first-round pick of Seattle and immediately traded to Orlando, where he spent his rookie season.
Horace Grant has rejoined the Los Angeles Lakers, the team he helped to the 2001 NBA title.
The veteran free agent forward also played for three championship teams in Chicago.
A starter for the Lakers in 2000-2001, Grant averaged 8.5 points and 7.1 rebounds in 77 games.

This time around, he is expected to play a reserve role, coming off the bench to relieve Karl Malone and Shaquille O'Neal.
Grant signed with Orlando after his title season in LA, averaging 8.0 points and 6.3 rebounds.
But he played only five games last season before being cut in December after left knee surgery.
He rejoined the Lakers one day after the Lakers lost free agent forward Mark Madsen to Minnesota.
The Lakers have also lost starting power forward Robert Horry, who signed a two-year deal with San Antonio.
