Figues takes 200m freestyle gold
Solenne Figues of France won the women's 200m freestyle final at the World Swimming Championships in Montreal on Wednesday.

The Athens Olympic bronze medallist came from third to win in the closing stages in one minute 58.60 seconds.

Federica Pellegrini of Italy, who had led the field through the first three laps, finished second in 1:58.73.

China's Yang Yu and Josefin Lillhage, of Sweden dead-heated for third place in a time of 1:59.08.
