Cooke was hoping to make up for a disappointing World Championships

Rebecca Cooke was the only athlete to beat the qualification standards at the Commonwealth Games trials in Sheffield on Saturday.
Cooke, 22, swam her second-fastest race of the year in the 800m freestyle to take gold in 8:30.51.
She was seventh in the event at last week's World Championships in Canada.
Keri-Anne Payne won silver and was named overall youth champion, while World Championship bronze medalist Caitlin McClatchey was third.
"I was really happy with that coming off the back of a disappointing time last week," said Cooke.
"I had to really mentally prepare myself and that swim has given me a lot of confidence to overcome my problems at the World Championships."
In the 50m breaststroke semi-finals, Kate Haywood was fastest with a time of 31.75 - less than two tenths of a second off the qualification time.
Mel Marshall was the quickest qualifier for the 200m freestyle in 2:01.31, ahead of Jo Jackson and Rebecca Cooke.
Chris Cook dipped below the qualification time of 1:01.22 in the men's 100m breaststroke but must swim below the mark again in Sunday's final to gain consideration for Melbourne.
