Ulster's Madeline Perry has lined up a quarter-final tie with former world number one Natalie Grainger at the Women's World Open in Belfast.

Eighth seed Perry saw off Australian Kasey Brown 9-7 9-0 5-9 9-2 to set up Friday night's duel at the Ulster hall.

Grainger had earlier defeated the fancied Vanessa Atkinson in five sets.

In the same half of the draw, England's Tanya Bailey beat compatriot Alison Waters 6-9 9-4 9-0 9-0 to book a last eight tie against Natalie Grinham.

Number one seed Nicol David of Australia beat Mexico's Samantha Teran in three sets.
