Shorto got revenge on 2007 victor Desperques

Adam Shorto was crowned Island Snooker Champion by beating Martyn Desperques 4-2 on Thursday in the fourth final between the pair in a row.

Shorto twice came from a frame behind to regain the title and earn a tilt at the Channel Islands crown on 18 April.

He said: "I played really well all night to be honest, so did Martin, it was a really, really good game."

The 26-year-old has enjoyed a great season after his team, Gremlin Galacticos, won the Premier Division.
