Jimmy White suffered his latest disappointment with a 9-4 defeat by Finland's Robin Hull at the UK Championship qualifiers in Prestatyn.
White, 44, lost nine of the last 10 frames and has still failed to qualify for a ranking event this season.
"I really struggled today after a good start," said White. "I let my lead slip and I'm very disappointed.
"Robin punished me and he deserved to win. My form has been good in patches. I have to keep plugging away."
