Australian world number 22 Quinten Hann has pulled out of the Preston Grand Prix, citing medical reasons.
Questions remain over Hann's future
Hann is currently under investigation by the sport's governing body over alleged involvement in match-fixing.
World Snooker started disciplinary proceedings against Hann - who denies the allegations - in May.
Ricky Walden, who was set to face Hann in the opening round of the season's first ranking event, will receive a bye into the second round at the Guildhall.
