Mark Allen won the World Amateur title early in December
World Amateur snooker champion Mark Allen defeated Kieran McMahon 6-1 in the final of the Barry McNamee Memorial Trophy in Dungannon on Thursday night.

Allen, who defeated Joe Swail in the semi-final, led 2-0 after breaks of 93 and 75.

McMahon then knocked in a 57 break to peg back a frame but there was no stopping Allen.
