England's Gary Wilson has won snooker's World Under-21 Championship with a 11-5 win over Thailand's Kobkit Palajin.
The 18-year-old from Newcastle built a 6-4 lead, before Palajin produced a break of 124 to reduce the arrears.
But Wilson, who will be playing on the main tour this season, claimed the next five frames and made a 142 total clearance to take the first prize.
"This proves to anyone who doubted me that I am the best junior in the world," said Wilson.
Previous winners of the championship include Ronnie O'Sullivan, Ken Doherty and Peter Ebdon.
