Memorable shots: McManus' fluke
Using the whole table...
First round: Alan McManus v Nigel Bond

How McManus fluked the brown

The match between Alan McManus and Nigel Bond was tedious in the extreme, with the players failing to finish despite two full sessions.

But in the opening frame of their lengthy encounter, McManus did at least manage to engineer an early contender for fluke of the tournament.

Needing all the colours to pinch the frame, the Scot saw a straightforward brown rattle in the corner pocket, jump onto the top of the cushion and roll six feet along the rails to drop into the middle pocket.
