Greg Searle

DOB: 20.03.1972

Crew position: Grinder
Shore job: Fitness & winches
Profession/trade: Behavioural Development Consultant

Searle has swapped rowing for sailing and is a new recruit to the world of yachting.

However, the power and fitness of the former Olympic gold medallist will be perfectly suited to his job as a grinder.

The 30-year-old won gold at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics in partnership with his brother Johnny in the coxed pairs.

Searle also won world championship gold 12 months later and finished third in the 1996 Olympics and fourth four years later in the coxless four and coxless pairs respectively.
