Profession/trade: Professional sailor

Mason is the oldest crew member of GBR Challenge.

The 43-year-old has a wealth of experience, including three America's Cup outings.

In 1983 and 1987 he was part of Britain's teams and seven years ago was involved in the Nippon Challenge.

The mainsheet trimmer has won numerous titles around the world and coached fellow team members Ian Walker and Mark Covell to Olympic silver in Sydney.
