Andy Green

DOB: 28.02.1974

Crew position: Helmsman
Shore job: CORM Rules & protocol advisor
Profession/trade: Professional sailor

Green is the youngest member of GBR Challenge's afterguard at the age 28.

However, he is the only one with America's Cup experience having been a rules advisor and alternate tactician for Hawaii's Abracadabra syndicate in 2000.

His focus on match racing has reaped rich rewards.

In 1997, he climbed 332 places to 42nd in the rankings and won Young Match Racer of the Year 12 months later

By 2000 he was eighth in the rankings after victories in the prestigious Bermuda Gold Cup and Cascadia Cup.

In the build-up to the Louis Vuitton Cup, Green skippered GBR Challenge to sixth in the UBS Challenge and will take the helm for the pre-start in New Zealand.
