When it comes to dingy sailing few can rival the achievements of three-time Olympic champion Ben Ainslie who won successive gold medals in Sydney, Athens and Beijing.
However he is taking a slightly different approach to the London Olympics and has spent the last two years almost entirely focusing on sailing larger yachts.
He hopes to skipper
TeamOrigin
to glory in the America's Cup, which is likely to take place in 2013. It means combining training in both disciplines of the sport right through to the 2012 Games.
The
Sail for Gold
event in Portland and Weymouth, which takes place between 9-14 August at the 2012 Olympic sailing venue, will be his first competitive race in his Finn class since the Beijing Games.
BBC Sport's Nick Hope caught up with Ainslie at the
2010 Round the Island Race
in Cowes, The Isle of Wight.
