Oracle completed a clean sweep over OneWorld on Saturday to become the second team to reach the semi-finals of the Louis Vuitton Cup.

Software billionaire Larry Ellison's team beat their American rivals by 33 seconds to take the best-of-seven series 4-0.

Oracle have been unbeaten since the appointment of New Zealander Chris Dickson as skipper, winning their last 11 races.

They join Alinghi in the last four after the Swiss syndicate were handed victory by Prada following a third win in a row against the Italians on Friday.

Dennis Conner's Stars & Stripes team are on the verge of going through after beating GBR Challenge by 34 seconds to take a 3-1 lead.

Stars & Stripes led the British boat by 14 seconds across the start line and controlled the rest of the race in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf.

French team Le Defi Areva threw themselves a lifeline by recording a 34-second victory over the Swedish Victory Challenge in shifting winds.

Victory led for the first four of the race's six legs but the eighth seeds took advantage of a big windshift to pick up only their third win in 20 races.

Le Defi now trail the series 3-1.

GBR Challenge and Le Defi could both be eliminated if they lose their races on Sunday.

The winners of their series will take on either OneWorld or Prada in the quarter-final repechage.
