Devon rower Marcus Bateman will be aiming to secure his third World Cup gold of the season at the final event in Lucerne this weekend.

Bateman and partner Matt Wells took first place in the double scull World Cup races in both Bled and Munich.

Fellow Devon rower Bill Lucas will also be in action in Lucerne as part of the men's quad who took bronze in Munich.

Cornwall's Annabel Vernon will compete in both the women's double scull and quadruple scull.

Vernon, who claimed silver at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, will be aiming to better her second placed finish at the last World Cup event in Munich, where the German crew won in the quadruple scull.

Following the conclusion of the World Cup series, the next major event for Britain's rowers will be the World Championships, which take place in New Zealand at the end of October.
