Organisers of the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics have announced that more than 100,000 people have signed up to be volunteers at the event.
London 2012 chairman Sebastian Coe said: "Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
"I urge anyone who wants to be part of the best Games ever to step forward."
Volunteers, who will assist as drivers, stewards, first-aiders and with IT and translation, will be selected according to their skills and experience.
