Breakdown of 2012 vote
Crowds in Madrid watch while IOC president Jacques Rogge announces the votes

The ballot figures have been released to show how the International Olympic Committee members voted for the 2012 Games, which was eventually won by London after the fourth round of voting.

It shows that while London and Paris picked up new votes in every round, Madrid actually led the votes in round two - but then saw their total drop by one in the next round and were eliminated.

Madrid 31 (eliminated)

IOC members from countries with candidate cities were ineligible to vote while their candidates were still in contention
