Olympic voters - Middle East

The Olympic dreams of London, Paris, Madrid, New York and Moscow rest in the hands of the 116-strong International Olympic Committee on Wednesday.

So who makes up this diverse bunch of royals, politicians, sports administrators and former Olympians?

Former television sports commentator and now vice-president of NBC Sports.

Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani Qatar
Age: 25 - member since 2002
Graduate of Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst and Qatar armed forces officer. President of Qatar Olympic Committee.

Toni Khoury Lebanon
Age: 69 - member since 1995
Owns engineering and contracting company. Chef de mission for Lebanon at several Olympics.

Samih Moudallal Syria
Age: 65 - member since 1998
General secretary of Syrian parliament. Former Syrian weightlifting champion.
