The Olympic dreams of London, Paris, Madrid, New York and Moscow rest in the hands of the 116-strong International Olympic Committee on Wednesday.

So who makes up this diverse bunch of royals, politicians, sports administrators and former Olympians?

Francisco Elizalde Philippines
Age: 72 - member since 1985
Businessman and former Philippine Football Federation president.

Zhenliang He China
Age: 75 - member since 1981
Former IOC vice-president. Vice-president of Beijing 2008 organising committee.

Chiharu Igaya Japan
Age: 74 - member since 1982
Vice-president of International Triathlon Union. Olympic skiing slalom silver medallist (1956).

Nat Indrapana Thailand
Age: 66 - member since 1990
Vice-president of the World Taekwondo Federation.

Kun Hee Lee South Korea
Age: 63 - member since 1996
Chairman of the Samsung Group. Former president of the Korean Amateur Wrestling Federation.

Shagdarjav Magvan Mongolia
Age: 77 - member since 1977
Former Mongolian Olympic Committee president.

Ser Miang Ng Singapore
Age: 56 - member since 1998
Singapore MP and former ambassador to Hungary and Norway. Served on 2012 evaluation commission.

Shun-ichiro Okano Japan
Age: 73 - member since 1990
Coached Japanese football team at 1964 Olympics - won bronze in Mexico four years later.

Yong Sung Park South Korea
Age: 64 - member since 2002
President of International Judo Federation (IJF). Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce.

Randhir Singh India
Age: 58 - member since 2001
Represented India in shooting at six Olympics. Honorary secretary general of India's Olympic commitee.

Timothy Tsun-Ting Fok Hong Kong
Age: 59 - member since 2001
Head of Hong Kong China Olympic Committee. Educated at Millfield College, UK and the University of California.

Ching-Kuo Wu Chinese Taipei
Age: 58 - member since 1988
Vice-president of Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee. Former architectural officer of the Milton Keynes Development Corporation in England.

Zaiqing Yu
Zaiqing Yu China
Age: 54 - member since 2000
Vice minister in charge of sport administration in China and vice-president of Chinese Olympic Committee. Vice-president of Beijing 2008 organising committee.
