New York's bid to host the 2012 summer Olympics was given a boost on Thursday when a lawsuit alleging illegalities on a stadium deal was thrown out of court.
NFL team the New York Jets were given the right to buy the Manhattan venue, which would also form the centrepiece of the city's bid for the 2012 Games.
But Cablevision, who hoped to develop the area instead, claimed that bidding for the property violated state law.
New York is vying with Madrid, Moscow, London and Paris for the 2012 Olympics.
