Nottingham Panthers player assistant coach Bruce Richardson will not return next season after agreeing to become player coach at Braehead Clan.

Richardson, 32, has been named coach of the newly-formed club after Adam Calder left for personal reasons.

General manager Gary Moran told the club website: "Bruce's energetic style on the ice will be missed. But this is a great opportunity for him."

Forward Sean McAslan, 29, is quitting the club to move to North America.
