Luke Fulghum scored five times for Blaze over the weekend
Coventry Blaze thrashed Belfast Giants 7-1 at the Skydome to move clear at the top of the Elite League.
Blaze now have a two-point lead over Nottingham, who lost to Edinburgh, with four games in hand over the Panthers.
Adam Calder and Luke Fulghum bagged two apiece with Tom Watkins, Dan Carlson and Greg Chambers also netting on Sunday night.
The win completed a perfect weekend for Coventry following their 5-2 success away to Sheffield Steelers.
Blaze did the damage against another of their title rivals with a three-goal burst in the opening six minutes, Calder netting either side of Fulghum's first.
Watkins and Carlson extended the home side's lead in the second period before Kevin Phillips netted what proved to be a consolation in the third.
Chambers swiftly restored the five-goal advantage before Fulghum completed the scoring.
