Blaze complete quota of imports

Coventry Blaze have completed their quota of imports with the signing of Canadian defenceman Jason Robinson.

The 30-year-old has previously played in Britain for Newcastle Vipers, Sheffield Steelers and the now defunct London Racers.

Blaze coach Paul Thompson said: "I've liked Robinson as a player since he first came to play in the Elite League.

"We've talked before about him coming to the Blaze so I'm delighted that we've managed to make it happen."

Robinson's arrival at the Skydome means fellow countryman Blake Forsyth will not be offered a new contract.

Elite League clubs are only allowed 10 imports on their roster for the 2009/10 season.
