Danny Meyers scored two goals in a hard-fought victory over Hull
Nottingham Panthers captain Danny Meyers has admitted the squad are low on confidence after they crashed out of the Challenge Cup this weekend.
The Panthers lost 5-3 to Basingstoke having led 3-0.
Meyers told BBC Radio Nottingham: "Guys have been panicking and we are a team lacking in confidence. No one is safe in their jobs, and that's me included.
"Results haven't been good enough. Jobs are always on the line in Nottingham as everyone wants to play here."
Meyers added: "It is about trying to get belief back in the team."
Having blown their chance to qualify for the Challenge Cup semi-finals on Saturday, the Panthers were taken to the wire by the Elite League's bottom club Hull on Sunday.
Nottingham had to come from behind three times to tie the game at 4-4, before Johan Molin and Jade Galbraith netted in the penalty shoot-out to give them the extra point.
