Edinburgh swoop for new centre

Edinburgh Capitals have signed centre Mark Hurtubise for the forthcoming season in the Elite Ice Hockey League.

The Canadian arrives from the Mississippi Sea Wolves, where he amassed 44 points in 66 games from 14 goals and 30 assists.

"Mark is something that we did not have last year, a pure centre," said player-coach Doug Christiansen.

"From day one I expect Mark to be a key player. He will play in all situations and be a threat on the power play."
