Mitchell wins move to Edinburgh

Edinburgh Capitals have signed defender Craig Mitchell for the 2008/09 Elite League season.

Mitchell, 17, spent last term with Fife Flyers and recently represented Great Britain at the World Under-18 Championships in Estonia.

"I'm really looking forward to playing for the Caps and challenging myself at Elite level," said the teenager.

"I really hope to learn a lot this year and help in every way I can bring success to Edinburgh."

Capitals have also retained the services of Great Britain defenceman Kyle Horne for a third season.

The 27-year-old registered four goals and eight assists in 63 games last term and represented his country at the World Championships in April.
