Pittsburgh Penguins kept their Stanley Cup hopes alive by the slimmest of margins by beating the Detroit Red Wings with a goal in triple-overtime.
Petr Sykora gave Pittsburgh a 4-3 win in front of Detroit's fans in the fifth-longest championship game cutting the Red Wings' series lead to 3-2.
Detroit were within seconds of winning when Pittsburgh tied the game at 3-3.
Game Six is in Pittsburgh on Wednesday where victory for Detroit will secure their first Stanley Cup since 2002.
"We get to live another day, just another game on Wednesday," Sykora said, adding that the come-from-behind victory would put a lot of pressure on Detroit.
"I think for a young team, we have to be excited about that," added Pittsburgh coach Michel Therrien on the victory. "But in the meantime, we know that there's still a lot of hockey to be played."
