Basingstoke Bison completed an expected quarter-final win over British Knockout Cup holders Cardiff Devils despite a 5-3 second leg defeat on Sunday night.
The Bison's passage into the semi-finals was virtually sealed on Saturday with a 6-0 first-leg victory.
Ravaged by injury, the Devils managed to restore some pride with a second-leg win, but the deficit proved too much to overcome as they lost 9-5 on aggregate.
The game ended on a sour note with three players ejected for foul play.
